How we help
The Penn State Urban Gaming Club is dedicated to fundraising money for charitable causes. For this purpose we have created the position of the Charity Chair, currently held by Kristen Glaser. If you're another student organization interested in hosting a fundraiser with the help of the Urban Gaming Club, please contact Kristen Glaser.
What we've done
Here's a breakdown of our donations during the Fall 2009 through Spring 2010 semesters.
Winter Charity Scavenger Hunt
We raised $208 during the Charity Scavenger Hunt we hosted on December 10th, 2009. All proceeds were donated to the Penn State Hershey Children's Miracle Network.
Donations for Haitians
At the January 31st, 2010 General Meeting we announced the Donations for Haitians box. This box will be present at every meeting and event this semester, and members are encouraged to contribute at any time. At the end of the semester the funds collected will be given to a yet-to-be-announced charity that supports the earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti.
