About Us
What is Urban Gaming?
Urban Gaming is simply gaming done on a human scale and in an urban environment such as New York City or, in our case, University Park and State College, PA.
All of our games follow a common thread: we strive to bring people together for human interaction, physical challenges, and tactical game-play. Our events use traditional board and console gaming techniques in an exhilarating "real life" atmosphere. They range from the paranoia of being chased by zombies in Humans vs. Zombies, to the stealth and cunning required for Assassins, to the tactical and team-based Scavenger Hunt.
The state of Urban Gaming is constantly evolving. We are always developing new games like Territories and Battle Royale, as well as updating traditional backyard games like Capture the Flag, Manhunt, and Heist! (Cops and Robbers). We even adapt games commonly found at other colleges such as Humans vs. Zombies and Assassins.
The Penn State UGC is dedicated to spicing up life and getting our members out of their daily routines with new, innovative ways to have fun. We are not alone in our endeavors, but rather, part of a much larger movement supported by colleges and communities nationwide. Expect more Urban Gaming in your future!
