Heist!

Detailed Rules

Overview

Heist! was the first Ad-hoc game to be added to the club's official event roster. It is an interesting take on the original playground version of Cops and Robbers. Players are divided into teams of 4-6 and take turns as armed Robbers trying to get money bags from the Bank to the Safe House. The remaining teams are Cops trying to stop the Robbers before they reach the Safe House. Teams receive points for successfully stealing or apprehending the money bags, and the team with the most points at the end of several rounds wins!

Game Details

As Robbers attempt to move with their loot from the bank to their safe house, the Cops will attempt to thwart their efforts by shooting them with Nerf blasters, lobbing balled-up socks at them, or using various other means. When a Robber has been hit, he or she is stunned, and a Cop can return the retrieved loot.

New modes have been added to this game including a "bank robbery mode" where the robbers must actually break into a defended area and rob the vault before time runs out. We will also be testing a new third faction called the Vigilantes. These lawless individuals can choose sides and make their own alliances or just attack everyone they see. Surely, you'll need your wits, running legs, and pounding heart for this fun-filled revisitation of your childhood!
