Invitational Meetings

Due to my crazy schedule, we are now hosting separate regular weekly meetings for invitational planning on Fridays around 7 pm in the HUB ground floor, starting this week. If you are now/have already expressed interest in helping with this year’s invitational, you either need to show up or email me at mcw5150@psu.edu ASAP.

I need people to be responsible, timely with goals/deadlines (you lazy UGC people ), eager to put forth new ideas, and ready to tell me I’m full of shit if I’m not doing things right.

I in no way expect all of you to help out with this, but quite honestly, the more the better. I am in desperate need of admins right now, and that’s probably the least involved position you could take.

This week’s meeting will be:
- Seeing who actually shows up
- Skeletoning out mission ideas, and reviewing the ones I have already
- Making sure we’re on track with invites, and laying out the acceptance process
- Talking all things paperwork
- Dropping the bomb (dundunDUUUUUN!)

If there’s a conflict, let me know and we’ll either work it out separately or change the time for the coming weeks, since this is just the first meeting.

Urban Gaming T-Shirt Contest!

Hey everyone! It’s Lindsey. I know this is starting later than I had planned but I totally spaced and forgot all about having this! Anyway! We’re starting our t-shirt contest today and it will run for the next two weeks.

Basically we’re looking for two different designs…; one for the general club t-shirt and the other for the invitational. So if you have any awesome ideas, please submit them! At the end of the two weeks we’ll have a meeting to vote on which designs we like best for which event. All submissions are welcome!

For the general club shirt:

Any and all designs are welcome! Please nothing that could be considered offensive. It would also be good if our club name was stated somewhere in the design, but it’s not necessarily mandatory. And feel free to use something besides zombies in your artwork That’s not all this club is about! Be creative!

For the Invitational Shirt:

Due to copyrighting, we can’t use "Humans vs. Zombies" or any version of the phrase on our t-shirts (I know. It sucks.) So just a general "Penn State Urban Gaming Club Invitational 2012" would be totally fine! And once again, nothing crude!

SO WHAT DO YOU GET IF YOUR DESIGNS ARE CHOSEN?!?!?!

A free t-shirt! That’s what! Yay!

Also! Anyone who submits a design (and I mean a real one, not just something you threw together in 5 minutes in MS paint or something) gets 3 dollars off of the total cost of the shirt. Soooo instead of $15, your shirt would be $12. Not much, but something.
